So really, when your son says i'm gonna take my sister for a ride on the bike you assume that all measures will be taken to ensure the safety of the younger sister. And then as you look out from the balcony you see this!!!!! Cause hey, it is so much more fun and the view is way better from the front of the bike than the back! And he of course uses the brakes in the back not the front to prevent her from being hurled into the pavement!! And of course bike safety in Brazil is way more lax than Canada!

I love my kids and fortunately no injuries or accidents have occurred! As for Jessi, well she has become a young actress as well and has become quite good at playing dead so that the "doctors" will come and resuscitate her! She likes to mimic and my only fear is that she spends most of her time mimicking Jasper! Thank you Jesus for your angels who watch over my kids!
And on a side note two of Jessi's favorite things are chimarrao and garbage!! So hey, why not have a sit down with both! Too much fun!

Have a great day everyone!!

The time has come

Hey there friends,

The time has come for our Quest visit to Canada. Carol and I will be boarding the bus for the first stint of our 'quest' to Canada in 2.5 hours. Please pray for us as we travel and continue to praise God for his provision and safety along the way.

Our arrival in Winnipeg will be on Tuesday, August 21 at 11:30.

We look forward to seeing as many of you along our journey in Canada. If you would like to see us and would like to know where we will be when, please look at the previous blog entry for a schedule of our time in Canada. [Note: some times maybe different than previously posted]

Thank you for your support in prayer during our trip.

Dwayne

Only 13 more days...

Usually it is Shannon who writes the blog entries, but today I decide to put a little update on here.

As the title says, there are only 13 more days until I leave for Canada. For those of you who may not have heard, I am coming back for a 5 week period. This time has been booked with churches and individuals with the intention of sharing about our work in Brazil. I, and hopefully Carol Wilbert (a Brazilian), will be joining Scott & Patsy Buhler in representing the Quest team. We will be raising support, both financial and prayer, as well as raising awareness of what God is doing in Brazil.

We will be giving presentations in both churches and homes to allow opportunity for everyone who wants to hear more about the vision God has given us.

If you are reading this and would like to arrange to meet with someone from our team, please email me at dsklass@yahoo.ca and we can arrange for a time. At this point most of our Sunday mornings have already been booked, but we are open to sharing any day of the week. Don't be afraid to invite a few couples you think may be interested in missions or Brazil to your home for an evening where we could share with you.

Though I will be working with Scott & Patsy, our schedules will be slightly different for part of the time. Carol Wilbert will be spending most of her time with me on this whirl wind tour. My schedule as of toady is as follows:
Aug. 21 - arrive in Winnipeg
Aug. 22 - 28 - Swan River and area
Aug. 28 - 30 - Brandon
Aug. 31 - Sept. 3 - Thunder Bay
Sept. 4 - 7 - Niverville
Sept. 8 - 18 - Saskatoon
Sept. 19, 20 - Niverville
Sept. 21 - 23 - Roblin
Sept. 24, 25 - Niverville
Sept. 26 - fly out of Winnipeg

If you are in the proximity of any of these locations and would like to host a presentation in your home or at your church, please contact me, at the email above, so we can arrange a date and time.

Please join us in praying...
... that Carol would be approved for her visa. She is still waiting to hear from the Canadian consulate to see if she will be able to come along.
... for Shannon, Jaden, Jasper and Jessi as they stay in Brazil during this time.
... for our travels to go well. (bus and flights)
... that people will have open hearts to what God is doing in Brazil
... that God will bring in the remaining money needed for the Quest Property Purchasing Project
